The DTI Internal Dimple Connector forms a sealed joint between the coiled tubing and the CT tool string. The Connector outside diameter can match the coiled tubing or the tool string outside diameter. A pattern of dimples are formed in the outside of the coiled tubing into a matching pattern in the Internal Dimple Connector. This dimpling of the coiled tubing locks the connector to the coiled tubing. The DTI Internal Dimpling Tool is used to dimple the coiled tubing into the dimples in the connector.
This is a strong connector capable of transmitting torque.
The Dimple On/Extractor Tool is a precision tool used to make the dimple pattern to suit the Dimple CT Connector.
