The DTI Dimple Connector forms a full bore sealed joint between the outside of the coiled tubing and the CT tool string. The Dimple Connector is made up to the coiled tubing by using a set if set screws made up through the body of the dimple connector into a pattern of dimple made in the outside of the coiled tubing.
The dimples are made using a DTI Dimple On/Extractor tool. For harder and/or coiled tubing with larger wall sections a Hydraulic Dimple-On Tool can be used.
This is a very strong connector capable of transmitting torque and is generally used in milling and fishing operations.
